VARUNA

(In the Rig-Veda)

The wise Varuna sees all wonderful objects from his abode. (Rig. 1-25-11)

The laws of Varuna remain unbroken. (Rig. 3-54-18)

(O Sinner!) Varuna is angry with you. (Rig. 7-86-3)

May Varuna make fair paths for us. (Rig. 1-25-12)

Varuna, the Supreme King, presides over all worlds. (Rig. 8-42-1)

O Varuna, loosen the bonds that hold me, loosen the bonds above, between and under. O Aditya, after we are made sinless in your law may we belong to Aditi (the Divine Mother). (Rig. 1-24-15)
