INDRA
(In the Rig-Veda)

For men has he created earth and waters, and ever helped the prayer of him who worships. (Rig. 2-20-7)

He sustains the earth that sustains all. (Rig. 2-17-5)

O Lord! You know the inner intention of human. (Rig. 1-81-9)

He sustains the great abode of Light without any support. (Rig. 2-15-2)

He created the seven rivers to flow. (Rig. 1-32-12)

He exist even within mountains that are enriched with wealth (gems and metals). (Rig. 2-24-2)

He is disinclined for the indolent and prospers those who work. (Rig. 5-34-6)

He pervades the earth and the abode of Light. (Rig. 3-30-11)

O Indra! May you be our protector and the destroyer of our vices. (Rig. 6-25-7)

O Indra! You are the Lord of this world by your Light. Come in front of us. (Rig. 8-17-9)

The virtuous deeds of Indra are endless. (Rig. 3-32-8)

May Indra bestow knowledge upon us. (Rig. 1-81-6)

Indra assumes many forms through his powers (Maya).(Rig. 6-47-18)

To protect persons like me you have endless powrs. (Rig. 1-8-9)

May Indra come here because of my true devotion. (Rig. 1-108-6)

O Indra! You transcend this space and all planets. (Rig. 1-52-12)

His fame is omnipresent like the abode of Light. (Rig. 1-8-5)

O Indra! There is no end to the omnipresence of your power. (Rig. 1-54-1)

O Lord! Nobody other than you can understand our prayers. (Rig. 1-57-4)

(Indra says) Creatures call upon me as their father.(Rig. 10-48-1)

He alone bestows wealth upon the benevolent. (Rig. 1-84-7)

He is in the mountains, plants and the waters. (Rig. 1-108-11)

Without his grace nobody can be victorious. (Rig. 2-12-9)

He establishes friendship with a warrior. (Rig. 8-21-13)

He is Lord of Divine and Material Wealth. (Rig. 2-14-11)

He induces the rich and the poor alike. (Rig. 2-12-6)

He is the Lord of all, animate and inanimate. (Rig. 1-101-5)

In all forms of this world his form exists. (Rig. 6-47-18)

We know that you are a great worker, a great giver and have abundant of wealth. (Rig. 8-81-2)

O Men! Have faith and devotion in that Indra. (Rig. 2-12-5)

This is true that nobody else is like you. (Rig. 1-52-13)

O Impartial Indra! We worship you. (Rig. 1-82-3)
