A Humble Request
Before You Start

The Holy Vedas are the purest utterances of The Supreme God, who is purest amongst all, and they were revealed to the Holy Seers, who attained the highest possible state of purity, by great austerity (for outer purification) and deep meditation (for inner purification).

Therefore, we would request every reader to be mentally and physically pure for a maximum benefit when s/he reads these direct words uttered in the purest language of Gods (Deva-vani Sanskrit) by the Supreme God (Brahman) Himself in the beginning of the creation, for the prosperity and peace of the entire world. Every person, who has faith in the Vedas and accepts them to be the well-wisher of Humanity, may obey to this request.

Therefore:

1. Please don't read this site wearing shoes or anything else made out of leather,
2. Please read this site only after you have taken bath,
3. Please don't read this site while eating something,
4. If you are a non-vegetarian, I would request you to consider the pain of the animal as it is being butchered. The first teaching of the Vedas for you would be to consider the feelings of others, and thus following the path of universal love and non-violence, i.e. not supporting any form of violence.

The Rigveda states very clearly, "A violent person can never become wealthy (spiritually or materially)" (Rigveda 7-32-21). Mahabharata states, "Non-violence (Love) is the greatest religion. Non-violence is the greatest austerity. Non-violence is the greatest truth, in which all laws originate." Friendliness and Compassion are the central aspect of Yoga. The Vedic Traditional Definition of the word Dharma (Religion) is stated, "Listen to the very essence of Dharma, and after listening to it please adhere to it, never perform anything to somebody that is against yourself". According to the Holy Texts the very essence of billions of scriptures is that "charity is the greatest virtue, inflicting pain on others the greatest sin".

May the Holy Vedas bestow Spiritual Development, Inner Peace and Divine Prosperity to you, happiness to those around you and Peace to the world.

Eternal Love,

Shri Siddhartha Krishna
